In plan view click view menu view properties.
Revit objects fixtures in floor below showing greyed out.

To prevent the floor or slab from being visible in plan view you need to adjust the bottom clip so that it is more than 4 feet above the floor or slab and set the view depth so that it does not include any part of the floor or slab.
A linked model can be set to half tone and or underlay in addition to customizing what is shown.

First your current view may have been set to show an underlay.
Also look in the view s vg revit links tab.
For some reason that escapes me a ceiling fixture type from my first floor is appearing on the second floor.
I have double checked the ceiling fixture s height and checked to be sure the view depth of my 2nd floor plan was high enough.
Usually something like the floor below above in greyed out mode.
Verify that the visibility of the object s category and subcategory are enabled.

This may be an easy one but as i am currently teaching myself revit this issue is stumping me.
